Professor Michael Gruninger (University of Toronto) and Professor John Bateman (University of Bremen) will be co-chairing this session, where members of the community will explore issues and opportunities around Ontology-based Standards and Ontology Repositories. ... RSVP now! ****************** Headlines *********************** Title: "Standardisation Coordination and Ontology Repositories" Abstract: The General Assembly of IAOA (International Association of Ontology and its Applications) at the upcoming FOIS Conference[1] will include reports from the SIGs and Technical Committees of IAOA, including the Standardisation Coordination Committee and the Ontology Repositories Committees. This virtual workshop will be devoted to preparation for these two Committee reports. The focus will be on identifying progress from the past year and to collect ideas for how IAOA can best support work in ontology-based standards and ontology repositories. [1] FOIS 2012: 7th International Conference on Formal Ontology in Information Systems - 24 to 27 July 2012 - Graz, Austria. Anyone in the community doing research or working on ontology-based standards and ontology repositories are urged to come join us at this session. For those who will not be at FOIS, this will be a great opportunity to provide input.
