You are (I take it) talking applications, while I'm just talking
definitions, where the idea of how many roots a tree *should* have
makes no sense. Like many mathematical concepts, there are several
reasonable ways to define a tree; on some, every tree has a single
root; on others some trees do not. Whether or not a definition that
permits more than one root suits your purposes is up to you to decide. (02)
