We had, on Thursday 4-October-2007, one of the best attended
virtual lectures and a great presentation from invited speaker
Dr. Tania Tudorache, from the Stanford Medical Informatics /
Protege project team, who gave a talk on: "Collaborative Ontology
Development in Protege."    (01)

Dr. Tudorache shared with us a survey of the landscape in
collaborative knowledge development tools and collaborative
ontology development, and showed us what she has done on
Collaborative Protege. He presentation was followed by some
really wonderful Q & A's and discussions.    (02)

Thank you, Tania, for the talk, and for sharing your insights
with the community. To Dr. Tim Redmond too, who introduced the
our invited speaker at the session, and who will be returning
next week to give the second part of the session. As always, our
appreciations go also to all who joined us at the event;
especially for their contributions to the rich discussion we had
during the last segment of the session.    (03)

Proceedings of the session are captured on our wiki page, at:
http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?ConferenceCall_2007_10_04    (04)

In particular, full audio recording of the session, as well as
the podcast of it, is now available - see:
http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?ConferenceCall_2007_10_04#nid14CF     (05)

... This contribution from Dr. Tudorache, the Stanford Protege
team and everyone who contributed at the session, obviously added
yet another valuable piece to the body of knowledge on ontology
and ontological engineering that our community is building
together. Thank you again, Tania, and everyone!    (06)

Best regards. =ppy    (07)

P.S. Again, this was the first episode of a 2-part session on
Distributed Collaboration in Ontology Development with Protege.
Our invited speaker will be giving a talk entitled:
"Collaborative Ontology Development in Protege."
... Register your attendance for the 2nd episode which we will be
featuring next Thursday (if you haven't already done so).
