Dear Dr. Obrst,    (01)

Today I listened to your audio talk on ontology spectrum... It made the
concepts of ontology, taxonomy and thesaurus clear to me. I further helped
me to think about my research topics more deeply. Earlier I was trying to
incorporate thesaurus structure (with facets) to ontology. Now I'm
thinking to represent domain knowledge which is represented in thesaurus
terminology into formal ontology (strong ontology). But the problem I'm
facing is that it's easier to define the properties of a thing than a
concept. For example: I can define the properties of car, but how shall I
represent subject domains like sociology, history, etc. I'm a research
scholar from Library science and trying to represent the specific subjects
of digital documents into ontology. Please guide me the right approach.    (02)

Thanks in advance.    (03)

Nabonita    (04)
