[socop-forum] Reminder and some more details about the Dec. 1-3 SOCoP Vo

Just a
 or so to go for the start of the Spatial Ontology Community of Practice's (SOCoP)
th annual workshop on Spatial Semantics and Ontologies will take place at the
U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Center 12201 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston, VA 20192

The free workshop will be held

​4 pm Wed. Dec. 3.

​Workgroup topics already planned include:

  1. Contour maps (and terrain)  (Torsten Hahmann,  Lynn Usery and Dalia Varanka)
  2. Extension to the Sensor-Stimulus Observation pattern for  use with “Computational Observations.”​ (Chuck Vardeman)
  3. A special session for the GeoLink group to model ontology design patterns for key notions related to an NSF EarthCube project, as follow-up of the OceanLink  work.
