Just to inform the relevant managers:
I would like to add the COSMO ontology (in OWL format, which was on CODS
server) to the Web Protege server as soon as I am informed of what I need to
do. The current version is close to that on the CODS server, but it may be
better to upload the latest (minimally modified) version. (01)

Hi Everyone, (08)
Tim Redmond and I had a discussion a couple of days ago and have
reached the following consensus ... (09)
1. using a hosted WebProtege is making more sense for those who need
an open public collaborative ontology development server than running
it on the Server-Client Protege configuration which we are hosting for
CODS now. (010)
2. integrating collaborative ontology development with BioPortal
and/or OOR aligns well with the original CODS mission (ref.
http://protege.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?CODS ) ... and, ongoing
development work between WebProtege and BioPortal is encouraging and
important. (011)
3. we should aim at hosting a (almost totally) self-serviced UI to
allow the usage of the envisioned service to *really* take off. (012)
As such, this is what we are planning to do ... (013)
AA. migrate current users (who wants to continue their collaborative
development) on the CODS server (on the instance currently hosted at
CIM3) over to WebProtege (on the instance currently hosted at
Stanford). (014)
BB. retire the CODS server instance at CIM3 after AA is accomplished. (015)
CC. when WebProtege (especially WebProtege-BioPortal integration)
development stabilizes some more, create another CODS server instance
that will support the integrated WebProtege-OOR services. (016)
DD. Since AA is not an automated process, please contact Tim
<tredmond@xxxxxxxxxxxx> and myself <peter.yim@xxxxxxxx>, so we can
work out the transitions. (017)
Your comments, questions, suggestions are welcome. (018)
Thanks & regards. =ppy (019)
