Good questions, Ali.    (01)

[ppy] we will predominantly be using this on the web, and not for
printing (although it is prudent to keep the viability of that latter
possibility in mind) ... however, along this line (as discussed during
the meeting earlier today), the logo need to be reducible to a fairly
small size, and still provide the "Logo" function.    (03)

Take a look at the BioPortal logo now - see: http://bioportal.bioontology.org/
 ... A first use of our logo is to swap it into that space, on our
OOR-sandbox instance.    (04)

> [AH] To what extent are we committing to developing a brand here?    (05)

[ppy] Yes ... this is absolutely what we should be thinking of. We
want to promote OOR as the global federation of ontology repository
(open, or even not-so-open) implementations. Having a strong brand is
crucial for us to get there.    (06)

Regards.  =ppy    (07)

p.s. Thanks to everyone's enthusiasm and for all the contributions ...
we did quite a bit of discussion about logos at the call today, and
had a consensus on the process of how we are moving the forward. I
will start another thread to provide the details. In the mean time,
see: http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?OOR_Logo_Candidates    (08)
