All,    (01)

I've created a shared bibliography in Zotero to keep track of the many
references and further reading suggestions being shared in summit
discussions. The zotero group page is at
https://www.zotero.org/groups/ontologysummit2012 .    (02)

This group library is viewable by anyone, without any need to log in
or register. It is editable only by group member. Membership is open
to all summit participants. If you are a summit participant, are not
yet a group member, and would like to be one, please send me an email
message.    (03)

An exported version of the bibliography is being maintained at
http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?OntologySummit2012_RecommendedReading.
This page is linked to from the Workspaces
section of the main Ontology Summit 2012 Wiki page
(http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?OntologySummit2012#nid309M).    (04)

All summit members are invited and encouraged to contribute to the
group library directly. However, no one is required to do so in order
to see or contribute recommended readings. For convenience, especially
of those who prefer not to use a separate tool, text bibliographies
will be exported regularly and updated here. Other formats, including
metadata-rich formats for use with other tools, can also be exported
from Zotero. If you have a particular format request, please let us
know and we'll try to include it in the regular export routine.
Between the exported text bibliography on the wiki page and the
zotero-hosted library, the principle difference is ease of access and
management. The group library contains links or actual document
attachments, depending on document access, as well as tagging,
multiple subcollection inclusion, attached notes explaining why a
reference was suggested, and other tools the community may find
useful.    (05)

I've started adding references suggested so far, though I'm not fully
caught up. I encourage folks to add suggestions directly to the
zotero-hosted library if they are comfortable using the tools. Also,
anyone willing and able to help maintain the collection and/or exports
is encouraged to volunteer! My hope is that this collection not only
will help us all make use of each other's suggestions, but also will
add to the set of things produced by the summit and useful to others
afterwards.    (06)

Best,
Amanda    (07)
