Thanks Michelle,
I made my choices of main important topics in bold and red:
1.1-(002), 1.4-(005), 1.5.1-(007), 2-(009) and 4.6-(0037). As a
Repository-Builder I could have selected almost everything, but I
chose these as the topics most important to me and my anticipated
audience as keys to making the repositories as useful as possible. I
think most objects and classifications need to consistently refer back
to or align with one or another upper ontology and it would helpful if
this was sensible enough for non-experts and non-technical people to
at least grasp. So these are the threads that resonate most with
me.
Cheers,
Rex
Topic Structure Discussion Fodder The title for the OntologySummit2008 is "Toward an Open Ontology Repository." This is the focus under which we are structuring topics. There will also be discussion threads stemming from the focus of previous Ontology Summits. These will also need Synopsis Pages and will likely develop topic areas under the main topic once the discussion has started. Toward an Open Ontology Repository List of possible topics 001. Purpose of Ontology Repositories Research and Implementation 002. Alignment with Common Upper Ontology 003. Connectivity of Information Sources and Knowledge Services 004.
