Sorry I could not talk, it's the middle of the night here in Asia and
from home only only have
basic access    (01)

First, I really want to thank Peter for the great effort it keeping up
this community
and coordinating all these events    (02)

just a few quick points I wanted to add for discussion    (03)

= organise remote attendande/participation to the summit for those who
may not be able to
join physically
- can we please set up group chats/text conferences alongside voice
for the future? chat can be like a bridge so that I can still manage
to have an input, can also serve as minutes for discussions    (04)

Half heard points:(apologies if misheard something)    (05)

1_what do we have the folsonomy for, whats the point? who asked that?    (06)

I think the main point of integrating the folskonomy perspective into
an ontology building exercise is to promote participation = if all the
stakeholder can participate in producing the view, the latter is more
likely to correspond to reality, It is true however that a folksonomy
should be well managed to be useful/productive for ontology building purpose
This means: it should be clear what property, or attributes, or
relationships are being elicited - also, some editing of the
folksonomy may be necessary to make sure it fits
a given schema    (07)

2I am glad that other people have realised that there is a tendency
towards callind
xml schemas ontologies. but why is that happening? what incorrect
references are out there that people are using? I guess we just need
to step up the ongoing educational campaign about what is an ontology    (08)

3. re. conference, I am glad that it's being kept at arm's lengh
However, if they want to provide free space for this community, like a
booth or an open panel in exchange for nothing at all, that would be
a very nice gesture
Gilbane experimented that with Oscom this year, will seek feedback    (09)

4. re wiki tutorial
peter, can we just have a quick link to the wiki syntax on all the pages?
this will help some    (010)

probably more, will follow    (011)

thanks again Peter for the great effort
let me know how can I help
regards    (012)

    * OntologySummit2007 - what? and what for? (question
OlivierBodenreider wants us to answer) (U8B)
o SteveRay: we want to keep focus on our Summit Objectives (U97)
o let's make sure we are clear about it now (U8C)
          o TomGruber's talk: ConferenceCall_2007_03_01 will be
throwing some more light on this too (U8D)    (014)

    * help getting the summit dialog from more community segments
(other than that for the formal ontologists) going (U8E)    (015)

    * coordinate the synthesis of the "Ontology Summit 2007" virtual
discourse (U8F)
          o volunteer editors: CharlesTurnitsa, KurtConrad,
KenBaclawski, BobSmith ... (U9N)
o Steve: move the links to the pertinent wiki pages to a
more conspicuous position (U9Q)
o we should move the summit dialog back to [ontology-summit]
rather than [ontolog-forum] (U95)
+ use [ontolog-forum] for formal ontology
conversations and the [ontology-summit] to achieve our
OntologySummit2007 objectives (U9J)    (016)

    * figure out how best to summarize the dialog into a collaborative
write-up, and eventually our written communique (U8G)    (017)

    * Peter: check out OntologySummit2007_Process    (U8H)
o in particular, I propose we use:
OntologySummit2007_Process/Draft2 as a strawman, and adopt that or a
variation of it (U8I)    (018)

    * AlanBond: breaking it down to 3 components for the community -
Alan will make a post to the [ontology-summit] list (U9I)    (019)

    * LeoObrst: we should post to other community list and advertise
this effort (U9L)
o LeoObrst, SteveRay, ... standards groups, Protege, OMG,
will do so. (U9M)    (020)

    * TomGruber: analogy with the network stack (levels) (U9S)
o LeoObrst: that's our framework ... and proposed typology
objective (U9T)
o Steve: remember to provide a simplistic entry point (U9U)
o go for a function (or value) oriented framework (U9V)    (021)

    * LeoObrst: we want to capture the 'value' (or perceived value) of
what each of these community's 'ontologies' are bring to the table
(U9W)
o capture that the anecdotal input (maybe within survey) (U9X)
o AlanBond: try also capturing 'issues' as well - Tom:
specific problems they need help with (U9Y)
o therefore survey should also include each constituencies
'value' and 'issues' input [attn: Peter] (U9Z)    (022)

5) Any other business (U8J)    (023)

    * doing anything with the "Semantic Technology Conference"? (UA0)
o Ontolog will stay at arms length (UA1)
o Kurt will get Tony to talk to Peter about this (UA2)    (024)

6) Next meeting date and adjour -n (U8K)    (025)
