The first of the subject Ontolog Invited Speaker Sessions on "Semantic
Support for Electronic Business Document interoperability" is coming
up tomorrow, i.e. Thursday, 06-March-2008, 1.5~2.0 hours, starting at

Our invited speakers, Professor Dr. Asuman Dogac and Dr. Yalin
Yarimagan, will provide insight into how semantics can be leveraged to
help achieve e-business document interoperability, as well as XML
vocabulary and standards harmonization. Our speakers will describe the
various XML vocabulary standards out there that use the ISO-11179
based UN/CEFACT Core Component Technical Specification (CCTS) as their
foundation, and then talk about their work developing tools for making
semantic translations between documents using an UBL Component
Ontology. ... Anyone working with XML standards and implementations,
who would like to see how ontologies may come into play, probably
shouldn't miss this talk. (04)
