The Entity Name System (ENS), applying the OKKAM razor principle,
makes the systematic reuse of globally unique identifiers possible.
The ENS stores the identifiers for entities and provides a collection
of core services to support their creation, maintenance and pervasive
reuse. The ENS is the result of a community effort, supported
primarily by Okkam SRL and the University of Trento (Italy). (08)
