I read that the objective is "to
clearly understand the notion of ontology engineering", with its
applications to knowledge management and enterprise programming system.
It would be just good to see two
different senses to the ontological engineering, the narrow one and the
broad one:
- building ontologies, studying the
methodologies and methods, creating languages and tools (in computer and
information sciences);
- applying ontological principles and
knowledge to practical problems, to design and develop and build
(knowledge) structures, systems, materials, processes, machines, and smart
devices, (in science, technology and engineering)

Submission Procedure
Researchers and practitioners are invited to
submit, on or before June 30,
2011, a 2-3 page chapter proposal clearly
explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter.
Authors of accepted proposals will be notified by July 15, 2011 about the
status of their proposals and will be sent chapter guidelines. Full
chapters are expected to be submitted by September 30, 2011. All submitted chapters will be
reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be
requested to serve as reviewers for this
project.
