I'm very much involved in efforts in this area, more specifically with
the BACnet [1] standards committee working groups for web services, XML
serialization of EPICS [2], and Utilities Integration. (03)
While I would typically only reply to Toby, in this particular field
there is tremendous pressure on the HVAC [3] industry to cooperate with
utility companies, and if ever there was some ontology work to be done,
now is the time to do it. (04)
