The Manufacturing
Engineering Laboratory at the National Institute of Standards and Technology
(NIST), Gaithersburg, Maryland, is seeking a highly qualified individual for
the position of Chief of the Manufacturing Systems Integration
Division. The incumbent will direct and oversee research,
development, and testing to develop methods, information models, and
infrastructural tools to characterize, improve, and predict the accuracy and
quality of manufacturing information and information exchange, to enhance U.S.
manufacturing competitiveness and innovation. The incumbent will oversee
all technical programs of the Division, and will have overall responsibility
for management of 29 permanent staff, a similar number of guest researchers,
and an annual operating budget of approximately $11 million. The salary
range for this position is $120,830-$153,200 per annum. More information
