Museums and the Web is an annual conference, papers are beginning to be posted here. Some organizations are developing ontologies, some may be in the midst of developing a solid requirements document, some are simply creating online messages out of unique materials. A more technical counterpart, by the same sponsoring organization Archives & Museum Informatics based in Toronto, is ICHIM concerned with digital culture and heritage.
Does anyone know of a comparison and mapping process to create or identify specific themes from selected sets of papers such as these *AND* examples from the associated museum image collections? What else besides Flickr lets you drag and drop items onto geographic locations?
