Timothy, Tania & Martin,    (01)

This sounds great!    (02)

While I'll defer to Matthew to answer you on the
specifics in reference to the content, I'd like to
clarify whether this would be a replacement for, or an
addition to the talk along the lines of Protege and
database applications which we were hoping you and/or
Tania will be giving us? (We did have specific request
from the community that they wanted to hear more about
this.) ... You might also consider putting a a panel
session where all three of you (Tim, Tania and Martin
would be on the panel, starting with your specific
presentations, and then followed by a discussion among
the panel and the participants.    (03)

Please advise your thoughts and preference.    (04)

Cheers.  =ppy    (05)

P.S. (a) I have taken the liberty to move your message
to this conversation thread. =ppy    (06)

(b) since we don't have Martin or Tania on the
[ontolog-forum] list yet, I hope neither of you would
mind if I subscribe you both to the list (at least for
the time being, you may choose the no-mail option, or
unsubscribe later, if you prefer) so as to include you
in the conversation, during the planning of these talks
for the mini-series. Let me know if you object. Tx. =ppy

Database and Ontology ...    (08)

Hello Peter,    (09)

I wanted to run the following suggestion by you. It
seems to me that Martin O'Connor would be the right
person to give a really interesting talk on the subject
of Databases and Ontologies. He is working on the
problem of making SWRL work with data in a database.
He is using a mapping from an arbitrary database to RDF
triples. He is now looking at an existing mapping tool
(D2RQ I think). As the SWRL inference executes
it generates sql queries by using the D2RQ mapping.
This sounds like a very interesting subject and I would
like to hear this talk.    (010)

Does this topic fit with the goal of the mini-series?
Can he make the talk in about 5-6 weeks?    (011)

-Timothy
