Hello everyone,
I have been around here for sometime but hadn't made a formal introduction. Well, I'm a senior undergraduate at The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Part of my dissertation deals with capturing sand-casting domain knowledge. The earlier implementation was done by creating "hard-coded" XML files. I am trying to create an ontology for the same. These days, I'm fiddling with the amazing application, Protege.
A happy and productive new year to all, Chandan Nayak

thanks for the nice (and immediate!) reply.
I will be away most of the time in January, but please write me an email when you come, and we will see if there's time for an offline discussion.
Greets and a happy new year, Viktoria

Hi Viktoria! Good to hear from another colleague in Austria! I'm based in Vienna myself and would be interested in further discussions offline on KM work: I will be in Graz in January...
Best regards,
Peter

Dear all,
complying with the procedure for new members, I hereby introduce myself to the ontolog-community.
I am working at the Know-Center, which is an Austrian research company dealing with knowledge management and knowledge retrieval. My working areas cover ontology engineering, and my research interest currently lies in ontology evaluation.
My resume, slightly longer, can also be found at http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?ViktoriaPammer .
My participation in this forum can be explained in my interests in
*) how to develop ontologies *) how to tell good from bad ontologies (evaluation) *) how (formally) to represent ontologies.
Looking forward to interesting discussions, Viktoria
