Hi Kurt --    (01)

I got this note, and a revised agenda from Peter, as well as your voice
mail last week. I'm still very interestedin the whole subject of meaning,
and the various approaches that go under the label of "ontology". I'm just
swamped with work right now, so there's no way I can attend a week-long
conference, or probably any part of it, as convenient as it is to my home
base. The one event I may make a special effort to attend would be the
reception hosted by the document engineering group at UC Berkeley, since we
have a significant relationship with that program. Don't know if I'll even
make it for that, though.    (02)

Thanks for the info, though.    (03)

Thoughts    (015)

- General: I haven't folded in all the breaks, yet. Also, I expect
actual timings to adjust a bit as we get closer.    (016)

- Wednesday is pretty tight. We still need to pin down topics &
presenters for the presentation to the UBL committee and the evening
tutorial.    (017)

- Thursday: There are a few open slots. Still looking for Ontolog
members with topics to present. Might have another UBL Chair: Mark
Crawford to add to the afternoon panel. Don't forget to bring a wine
from your place of origin.    (018)

- Friday: The short morning has been devoted to Ontolog project
planning. The afternoon to hands-on aspects of UBL formalization. I
was hoping for more collaborative formalization, but it has been
squeezed a bit with the other topics.    (019)

- Saturday: So far, it doesn't look like I can get meeting space for
Saturday. If something opens up, I think that we have more than
enough to fill a fourth day.    (020)
