Tony, (01)
We discussed your ideas for Ontolog participation at the Semantic
Technology conference at today's planning session. (02)
For the most part, your ideas were warmly received. But as Ontolog
is an open community of practice, it was not surprising that some
concerns were voiced about how Ontolog would work with a commercial
organization. (03)
Also, the "What is an Ontology?" exercise is part of Ontolog's
Ontology Summit 2007 event, scheduled for the week of April 23. (04)
For the above reasons, we decided that Peter Yim should serve as
point of contact for working out specific details. Peter is one of
Ontolog's co-convenors, an energetic champion of open communities,
and one of the organizers of the Ontology Summit. He is in the best
position to meld these different threads of thought. (05)
Again, thanks for the generous offers. Don't hesitate to let me know
if there's anything else that I can do to help. (06)
