Attn: Session Co-champions & All (01)
Fyi ... the following should be of interest to everyone who are will
co-chairing upcoming sessions, please take note. (02)
Of course, directing you panelists to the page at:
http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?VirtualSpeakerSessionTips ...
drawing their attentions to the section marked "For the SPEAKERS" is
important too! (03)
Also, ref.
http://ontolog.cim3.net/forum/mini-series-org/2013-09/msg00000.html#nid030
we are still looking for the session co-chamopions to post their
session plans. Kindly respond to that thread (and share your session
preparation status on the list.) (04)
Thanks & regards. =ppy

Great questions, Tara, (07)
The nominal start time is 12:30pm EDT, with these panel session
running for 2.0 Hours (+/- a few minutes). It is recommended that you
only plan on having 1.75-hrs at you're disposal, as we will invariably
lose a few minutes at the beginning for things to settle in, and for
people not finishing up within their time allotments, etc. (08)
... that said, there have been occasions when the session would start
an hour earlier or an hour later, by special request. While this is a
prerogative of the session chairs, I should warn though, that this
will (by past experience) generally affect the size of the
participants adversely (noting that some Ontolog community members
have carved out this nominal weekly time slot on their calendars, so
they can participate regularly), and should hence be considered with
care. (09)

[ppy] if you ask me, I'd say "Yes!" ... In the panel discussion
sessions, the plan is to invite the panelists to join the community
and participate in "a discussion". "The briefing" should only help
establish a particular panelist's position and help prime the
discussion (and not meant to be an "invited talk".) (011)
... in reality, we do have panelists, in the past, who only show up to
give the talk. Again, this is a call by the session co-chairs (which
I hope they make with care.) (012)
Thanks and regards. =ppy
