First IAOA General Assembly (face-to-face segment)

1. Stefano Borgo called the Assembly to order at 4:40pm. (010)
2. Nicola Guarino, the newly elected President of IAOA, delivered his
opening remarks, and welcome everyone to this "face-to-face meeting"
segment of the Assembly. (011)
3. Guarino reiterated the results from the "election" segment of the Assembly, (012)
* announcing the names of the newly elected Executive Council members
and Officers of the Association: (013)

* announced that our logo (designed by Ian Baily of UK) as well as
the three proposed changes to the Statute in the ballot were all
adopted by the Axssembly (015)
* expressed the Associations gratitude toward the retiring Councilors: (016)

* thanked all other candidates who ran in the EC election, and
expressed that we look forward to having them spearhead some of the
initiatives which they felt are important to the future of the Association: (018)

* and, called for input and active involvement by the entire

4. Some of the elected Executive Council members who were on-site
(Guizzardi, Mizoguchi, Bateman, Gruninger and Yim) then spoke in turn,
describing some of the initiatives that IAOA plans to embark on in the
near future. Laure Vieu then presented the Association's current and
projected financial positions, and suggested some possible use of the
funds in the future. (021)

6. Active Q&A, discussion and ideas were exchanged with those who were
present at this face-to-face assembly. A sign-up sheet was passed
around to collect the names of members who are volunteering for
