First, thanks to Rex for leading this guiding light group. The framework and
landscape, as well as the policy underlying, should help support the goals of
the federal Health IT Ontology Project (HITOP) Group.    (01)

The HITOP convened its first meeting two weeks ago. A slide presentation with
meeting notes are available and I would like to share the slides with the panel
and ask to make a 5 min. presentation to talk about the four goals and four
point strategy for recommending the testing of ontology software in high in
certai high priority HIT applications to ONCHIT.    (02)

Also, I attended the first meeting of the AHIC Friday, Secretary Michael
Leavitt pointed out that four work groups will be formed to make
recommendations about 13 e:health project areas in three catagories. He
explained that some of the approximately 1000 nominees to AHiIC may have the
opportunity to participate through the work groups.
I thought this possibility would be of intertest to Mark Musesn.    (03)

I am looking forward to our panel Nov 3rd.    (04)

Regards,
Marc

Subject: Re: [health-ont] Follow-Up Panel Discussion Date Question    (06)

Thanks, Mark,    (07)

This makes it 3 for Nov. 3, and 1 for Nov. 10, so it is looking more
and more like it will be Nov. 3.    (08)

We will wait to hear from Brand, Ram, and David, and the invitation
remains open for Brett Trusko, as well.    (09)

Regards,
Rex    (010)
