We had a great full-day workshop on Sunday 2006.07.23 at
Stanford. We had about 30 people on-site, as well as some calling
in. The day was hot, and so were the proceedings. The presented
material, and pictures too, from that workshop are available now
on our wiki session page, at:    (01)

... since we have just met on Sunday, and the conference at
Stanford will be on until Wed 7/26, THERE WILL BE NO CONFERENCE
CALL THIS THURSDAY (as we do regularly). Please note.    (03)

P.S. Through the introduction by Dr. E. Michael Maximilien of
IBM, I finally got to meet with Professor York Sure yesterday.
York is from the Institute AIFB of the University of Karlsruhe in
Germany, who happens to be visiting at Stanford Medical
Informatics (until end August.) The cluster of research
institutions where he comes from represents one of the largest
centers of excellence in Ontology Research). They had just come
out of a successful European Semantic Web Conference (ESWC) 2006
(11 - 14 June 2006 in Budva, Montenegro) for which he was
Programme Chair. Incidentally, the current work on Semantic
MediaWiki is being developed by his Ph.D. students. ... I am
happy that York has graciously agreed to give an invited talk
before he leave California. ... I'll be working up the details
shortly ... so stay tuned! =ppy
