- Participant Preparation for the Session: (AXB)
- If you are planning to participate, please either (a) add your name under "Attendees" below, or (b) send an email to Peter Yim to let him know. We need some idea on how many to expect, to properly prepare for necessary resources (number of lines to reserve on the conference bridge; how to share the presentation material online during the session, ...etc.). That way, we can also add you to the "call invitation" list, which will allow you to receive call information once the conference call details are finalized. (AXC)
- Please post you suggestions or specific things you would like to see on the agenda here (AXD)
- please post or upload any material to be shared to the list, to the wiki or by ftp upload prior to the meeting (AXE)
- Shared resources for this tutorial session to be available at http://ontolog.cim3.net/file/project/resource/tutorial_2003-05-29/ (AXF)
- (AXH)
- From the instructor (see posts from AdamPease) -- in preparation for the ontology tutorial, (AXI)
- you can get a copy of Protege at http://protege.stanford.edu/ (AXJ)
- Go to "How do I get it?" then "current version" (AXK)
- and then select the appropriate download for your operating system. (AXL)
- I'd suggest downloading the three files that comprise a version of SUMO in Protege at <http://ontology.teknowledge.com>, can be found under under "supporting documents" where it reads "A partial translations of SUMO 1.48 to Protege (pprj, pont, pins files) is avilable ...". (AXM)
- Thanks to PatrickCassidy for producing this Protege version of SUMO. We're working on an automated translator, but it won't be ready in time for our meeting. (AXN)
- Then start up Protege and load SUMO148.pprj. (AXO)
- If everyone can accomplish that, we'll be in a good position for the tutorial. (AXP)
- (AYJ)
- are we running this tutorial again? when? (AYK)
- yes, if we can get more than 10 people coming. Note, though that we only had 9 people showing up despite the fact that 15 said they would come. (PeterYim will coordinate over the list) (AYL)
- when is the next tutorial? what on? (AYM)
- (AYP)
- KurtConrad made a voice recording of the session. (AYQ)
- We'll find out how to make that available digitally, and have it synched to the powerpoint presentation. (AYR)
- let's ensure it is properly credited to AdamPease (AYS)
- the audio recording of the tutorial has been digitized. See above (under "Resources") (-ppy/7.03.2003_17:56pm PDT) (AYT)
