- the value and desirability of the monthly training session was discussed (21B)
- Cecelia: I'm engaged, for the next ten years; but sees a steep learning curve here (21C)
- Pat: recent NAACL conference - some discussion on extraction of factoids. One can read up on their proceedings to see where the field is heading. (21D)
- Adam: to learn more about semantic SEARCH, getting a book on the subject would be more helpful than going through the procedings of the NAACL conference (21E)
- Adam: on Search - try "Latent Semantic Analysis" (21F)
8) Status of Protege-KIF project work (21G)
- Pat: not doing much work on UBL now, but still working on the Protege-KIF plugin and the associated utilities (21H)
- Also, on the side, trying to clarify on semantics of the contents (UBL or CCT) that is not documented, to help with the representation. (21I)
- Peter suggested that Pat could do some of the communication in the open (on the ontolog forum), as some of the ontolog particpants or observers are members of those standards communities and may be able to offer help. (21J)
