Nancy wondered if the OOR part in the name is needed. Mike and Peter
explained that this is part of the effort to build a global federated
network of ontology repositories by the OOR Initiative, and should be
mutually beneficial for the entire initiative and for each node.
Besides the SOCoP instance there is existing OOR Sndbox, Development
and Test instances. The OOR team is working on its Production
instance, and trying to bring into the network other ontology
repository/service efforts like CALORE, OntoIOp, and Line’s DACC at
ORNL; ... maybe even MMI and various relevant EU efforts.
