Those of you who read the March minutes may have noted the idea of SOCoP INTEROP helping to organize a VoCamp building on the recent GeoVoCampSouthampton2011 - a VoCamp focused on near-term geographic vocabularies for Linked Data. Todd Pehle and I have proceeded on some preliminary plans for such an event and you can see the draft of an agenda at:  http://vocamp.org/wiki/GeoVoCampDC2011#Day_1_.28Friday_03_June_2011.29

VoCamp are light engineering events to help growth of the Web of Data/Semantic Webw which is heavily dependent on the availability of vocabularies/ontologies that can be used to publish data.

Since VoCamp's are open events we may get registration from a wide range of people interested in vocabulary development across several topics, but Todd and I  have an interest a portion of this discussing Geo topics along the lines of a "GeoVoCampDC2011".

The event if free and planned for Friday-Saturday June 3-4 at the Library of Congress.  People can register on the site listed above and also indlicate their topics of interest.

Regards,
