Leo

I would like to volunteer for Session part (v) the roadmap to developing/delivering that in an OOR implementation effort, and how they satisfy the rationale, of course as I co-champion OOR Repository Architecture, I would quickly yield in favor of other volunteers.

Thanks.

Subject: [oor-forum] Summary slides for OOR Forum sessions? Volunteers forOntology Summit 2008 OOR section presentations?

Folks,

At our conference call Friday, http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?OOR/ConferenceCall_2008_03_14, we requested that:

  • all speakers are requested to send in a 2-slide summary of their brief (in addition to the slide deck they use during the briefing) for use in a presentation that the OOR-team will be making at the OntologySummit2008 face-to-face workshop    (1BHU)

This will include panelists in the 3 upcoming panels too (so please consider a 2-slide summary of your talk as you prepare your briefing).

We will compile these summary slides to create the 45 min - 1 hr Ontology Summit 2008 session we will give (the total time slotted will be 1.5 hrs, so the remainder will be discussion time).

Note that Peter Yim and I will champion the Ontology Summit OOR presentation, but it will have the following structure (see the conference call summary above, for details):

(i) Overview, rationale and motivations,

(ii) existing efforts, and how they satisfy the rationale,

(iii) what people need, and how they satisfy the rationale,

(iv) summarizing that into requirements, and how they satisfy the rationale, &

(v) the roadmap to developing/delivering that in an OOR implementation effort, and how they satisfy the rationale

I will give (i) Overview, rationale, motivations, but am seeking one volunteer for each of the other 4 sections.

So please send me your 2-slide summary if you have been a past OOR panelist, or prepare a 2-slide summary with your briefing if you will be a future OOR panelist.

And please consider volunteering for one of sections (ii - v) for the the OOR presentation at Ontology Summit 2008.

Thanks,

Leo
