Yes, the clips are generated in real time, and each takes less than 1 minute.

 

(b) does it crawl a set of IRI's (e.g. our OntologySummit2014_Symposium page or the shared-file repository), or would you have to put the resource somewhere and parse it (e.g. the chat-transcript)

most links are directly manually copied from a couple of places on ontology wiki: the ontolog summit homepage, links to pdf resources, links to references, and of course, from IRC chat room. 

some links are clipped during the session, e.g. to provide a reference card for concept/paper/project mentioned in IRC channel or the presentation slide.

 

(c) are you reading the metadata from our resource objects (slides, audio-mp3, photos, etc.)

Yes, the title of PDFs are directly extracted from the embedded metadata. photos and audio stuff are still on the wait list.
