Please find attached a Hackathon Proposal: Formalization of use case encodings under the GEOF framework for the 2013 Ontology Summit. We suggest as a candidate use case the i-choose ontology which is being submitted separately. At this point, we do not have a good grasp of the coding tasks needed for GOEF. Beyond high-level work (e.g., configuring a new SADI project), it is not clear what could be assigned to participants at a coding-oriented event other than a skeleton framework (which we would like coding help with). Once we have clear examples of what the use case and evaluation metric encodings will look like, it should be easier to determine specific coding requirements. We hope to make reasonable progress on the encoding strategies, and subsequently got an architecture design on paper. Which would be a good contribution to get out of this event. Additionally, the objective is that others will be able to pick up the work later, which will be more likely if we can flesh out these foundational concepts. Thank you for your consideration.
