Leo,
(01)
I (think) I agree with Matthew: Caveat - I haven't looked
at the latest version.
(02)
If the goal of the communique is to summarize and synthesize
all of the (historical) work that's been done (and act as a
hook), then the organization based on the various tracks
shouldn't be important unless there's a logical reason/dependency
for it.

Dear Leo,
(013)
I notice that you have retained the structure of the Work Tracks for the
Summit. I wonder if it might be better to divide it by section of the
communiqué, which has been restructured from the tracks, with the track
champions presenting around a section of the communiqué, perhaps with
additional background information. This might help to focus discussion,
rather than taking a historical approach of where it all came from.
(014)
What do others think (especially track champions)?

Subject: [ontology-summit] Ontology Summit 2011 Symposium near-final draft
agenda
(019)
All,
(020)
Please see the following near-final draft agenda for the Ontology Summit
2011 Symposium.
(021)
Also, please note that the following rule (the “Fabian Rule” as we are
calling it from last year, named for our colleague and co-organizer Fabian
Neuhaus) will be in effect during the Symposium for discussion on the
Communique. This will help us avoid disruptions, argumentation over
trifles, and improve the quality of our discourse.
(022)
1) A final draft of the Communique will be released to the membership
next week, no later than Friday, April 15, 2011 (and probably earlier).
2) Any participant of the Ontology Summit can submit by email change
requests or raise questions for debate at the workshop until the deadline
of Saturday evening, 6 pm EDT, April 16, 2011. This is prior to the
Ontology Summit Symposium.
3) After the deadline, a new change request/question can be only
raised if it is supported by at least 3 participants of the Summit.
4) Leo and Ram’s addendum: We will strictly enforce a time limit on
the discussion per issue.
(023)
As previous Ontology Summit old-timers will recall, much of our time was
spent wordsmithing. Unfortunately (or fortunately), we don’t have time for
that. Having an overview of the open issues prior to the Ontology Summit
Symposium allows the organizers to plan/adjust the agenda and the
discussion moderators to ensure that all issues are addressed. Please
note that the first day of the Symposium is devoted to the Track
champions’ reports and the Communiqué discussion. The Communiqué will be
final at the end of the first day.
(024)
Thanks and we look forward to your participation,
Ram and Leo
