Coming up tomorrow (Wednesday, July 30th) will be the second of the
three Joint Ontolog-OOR Panel Sessions that have been scheduled for
these few weeks. (03)
Dr. Natasha Noy (from Stanford / Center for Biomedical Informatics
Research) will be chairing the session, which is entitled: "BioPortal
and related Ontology Repository Implementations and Development." On
Dr. Noy's panel will be Dr. Carlos Rueda, Mr. Paul Alexander and Mr.
John Graybeal (MBARI), Mr. Stephen Granite (Johns Hopkins), Dr.
Alexander Garcia (Bremen), Dr. Katherine Goodier (L-3), Professor
Kenneth Baclawski (Northeastern), Professor Michael Gruninger
(Toronto) and Mr. Mike Dean (BBN). (04)
The session will start with briefings from the panel. To seed the
discussion, the panelists will be telling us about their BioPortal-OOR
related software projects. We will then proceed to open Q&A and
discussion among the panelists and all participants, focusing on
various aspects of the software efforts, particularly as they relate
to contributions to the codebase of our first instance of the Open
Ontology Repository (OOR) that is built upon the NCBO BioPortal
technology. (05)
