You are cordially invited to join us, virtually, this coming Thursday
19-February-2009 in our next Joint OOR-Ontolog Panel Session. If you
are in research, development or implementation of ontologies, ontology
repositories/registries or semantic applications, you probably
wouldn't want to miss this virtual event.    (02)

The session is entitled: "Getting OOR Development Off the Ground
(Take-2): the work begins ..."    (03)

It's now about six months from our "take-1" session on "Getting OOR
Development Off the Ground: Identifying Synergies & Gaps" (see:
http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?ConferenceCall_2008_08_22 )
and time to take a look at where things stand, in terms of *real*
development and implementation of the Open Ontology Repository (OOR)
initiative that we spent so much time talking about (especially during
the Ontology Summit 2008 earlier last year.) ... For those who believe
that a persistent, federated OOR is a crucial piece in enabling
ontology and semantic technologies' adoption into the main stream,
this session should assure you that you are not alone. This panel
discussion will give us another chance to foster global collaboration
and see some of the early pioneering works already bearing fruit. Our
expert panel who are joining us at the session include:    (04)

* Session Chair: Mr. Todd Schneider (Raytheon)    (05)

* Panelists:
o Professor Mark Musen (NCBO, Stanford-BMIR)
o Dr. Natasha Noy (Stanford-BMIR, NCBO)

o Dr. Mathieu d'Aquin (Open University, UK)
o Professor Kenneth Baclawski (Northeastern University)

As before, we will leave ample time for Q&A and open discussion after
the briefings by the panel.    (07)

something to contribute, is welcome. Please refer to event details on
the session page, to which the hyperlink is given above, where you

yourself directly to the session page if you are already an Ontolog or
OOR community member) so that we can prepare enough resources to
support everyone. [Please state clearly the date of the session you
