[ontolog-forum] Free Nov 29-30 geo-science workshop in DC area

Members of Ontolog, especially if they are in the DC area, may be interested in participating in our free geo-science workshop to held at the USGS National facility in Reston VA Nov 29-30. This is one of the Spatial Community of Practice’s (SOCoP) annual workshops organized in collaboration with USGS.

This will be small group sessions to work on conceptual models, vocabularies  and ontologies for focused topics. It builds on past Geo-VoCamps organized at UCSB and Dayton.

Among the topics for discussion are:

1. Container and Space Region pattern and Space Region (the recent Ontolog discussion on Universal Basic Semantic Structures is relevant to this topic)

 2. Site/Ecological Site 

3. USGS topic on Terrain models.

4. Semantic Trajectories  a topic started on at the previous VoCamp this Sept. in Dayton
