OntoLoggers -    (01)

Has anyone in the community run into the Attention Profile Markup Language
(APML) folks? I'm curious whether anyone can point to thought cycles spent
on this (or related attention data systems) as they relate to reasonable
ontology support.    (02)

More info can be found:    (03)

Overview: http://www.apml.org/
Spec Wiki: http://apml.pbwiki.com/
Discussion: http://groups.google.com/group/apml-public    (04)

From a high-level, the idea of making a freely distributable "attention
file" of user preferences makes sense. Unfortunately, their proposed
specification seems to be lacking specificity that bridge the needed gap
between recording click stream data and then leveraging it in a reasoning
model.    (05)

The format they propose does appear to be using XMLS, which lends itself to
an ontology framework. I just don't see movement in this direction, yet.    (06)

Anyone have any opinions or thoughts on the subject?    (07)

Thanks in advance,
Trent    (08)
