Just for the record, a very early note about correspondence theory:    (01)

To say of what is that it is not, or of what is not that it is, is false,
while to say of what is that it is, an of what is not that it is not, is true;
-Metaphysics, book 4, chapter 7.     (02)

Another passage about truth:    (03)

The investigation of the truth is in one way hard, in another easy. An
indication of this is found in the fact that no one is able to attain truth
adequately, while, on the other hand, we do not collectively fail, but every
one says something true about the nature of things, and while individually
we contribute little or nothing to the truth, by the union of all a
considerable amout is amassed.
-Metaphysics, book 2, chapter 1. The Works of Aristotle, Volume 1. Published
by William Benton, edited by W.D.Ross with Oxford University Press.
Encyclopedia Britannica inc. 1952.    (04)
