You are invited to the Collaborative Expedition workshop #37 on Thursday,
December 9, 2004, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., at the National Science
Foundation, Ballston, VA.  Workshop title: Toward Coherence in Knowledge
Through All Things Ontological: Making Sense Together.  Workshop
participants will explore the role of multiple Communities of Practice
toward building the mission capacity needed for shared understanding and
governance around new responsibilities for data stewardship and sharing.
Questions include: In light of interoperability opportunities afforded by
the FEA-DRM, how can emerging open standards-based protocols (RDF, OWL,
Topic Maps) improve collaboration around pressing intergovernmental
