Krishna,

I will be off-site tomorrow morning until probably 1-2 pm. Maybe after 2 pm? I’m also preparing a day-long tutorial for next Tuesday, so am short on time. I’ll update the tutorial a bit like Mike has suggested (I have the material, just didn’t know whether it fit for ½ hr). Also, I suggest Dave introduce SPARQL; that way I don’t have to.

Also, Krishna, it might be best, if you have the time, to prepare a first draft of the summary slides, then I can chime in.

Thanks,

Leo

Thank you, Nancy. That looks like a wonderful program.

(Just want to make sure) Given the time slots you have assigned, are
you planning to do away with the open Q+A and discussion (for previous

appreciated) in favor of giving the speakers a more time to present?
(If not, you might have to cut down the speaking time slots.) Please
confirm, Nancy

I shall look forward to a great finale of this mini-series. Thanks to

OK, according to Peter's delineation:

Session A - (about 1 1/2 hours) Again, this could change if anyone wants:

1. Krishna goes first because his building blocks talk is general
regarding all of EarthCube. He said his talk is about 15 min.
2. Then, because Krishna's talk doesn't focus on semantics, I could
give a short transition talk (with the slides I sent yesterday) to
bring the focus to semantics and also
to transition between the general building blocks talk and the next 2
talks, that is, to lead into Leo's talk on ontologies and Dave's talk
on query languages (GeoSPARQL). (This could be 10 min.)
3. Then Leo gives a tutorial (check my mention of this on slide 6
because I still don't know what the topic possibilities are here for
what Leo will talk about. Everything should flow.) This could be 30
min.
4. Then Dave talks on GeoSPARQL. This could be 30 min.

Session B -(about 20 min.)
Then there's the wrap-up by Leo and Krishna
I put in a possible slide to be included in a wrap-up as to what's
next. But, everyone's input is needed for that ahead of time.

What is still needed:
--I need to know from all of you if the above overall set-up is OK.
--I need to know what Leo might talk about.
--We all need to have an email exchange on what the wrap-up will be. I
assume Leo and Krishna are going to summarize the mini-series. Is that
right? But, we all need to formulate what we are going to do next
regarding semantics in EC, e.g., have meetings, write proposals, go to
the existing domain workshops, whatever.

Thank you,
   Nancy
