Sixty fifth meeting of the IAOA Executive Council (EC)

The EC welcomed the newly elected EC members: Oliver Kutz, Frank Loebe and
Fabian Neuhaus. (011)
The EC reminds the IAOA-champions to make a post in IAOA blog to publicize the
supported events, ideally one post before and one after the event. A report
after the event is also expected. (012)
The EC discussed the organization of the Summer Institute 2013. Alternative
options have been considered. The organizers of the Summer Institute in 2011
will be involved to verify their availability to host/organize the next event.
The EC also considered to appoint people for leading the Summer School series.
M. Gruninger and W. Kuhn will investigate both issues. (013)
The EC elected L. Vieu as the new FOIS Conference Chair. The election was
needed since M. Gruninger, previous FOIS Conference Chair, completed his duties
with the conclusion of FOIS 2012. Laure Vieu accepted the position. (014)
A call for location to host next FOIS conference in 2014 will be distributed
soon. (015)
The EC discussed social media initiatives proposed by members (twitter hashtag,
blogging platform etc.)
A. Hashemi, O. Kutz and Francesca Quattri will investigate pros and cons and
make recommendations to the EC at next meeting. (016)
The EC appointed Todd Schneider and Adam Goldstein as co-chairs of the
Education subcommittee on lexicon/terminology (name to be finalized). (017)
