*** Session Abstract -- by: MichaelGruninger *** (011)
Common Logic (CL)was published as an International Standard ISO 24707
in 2007, and is now up for review (after five years), and we have the
opportunity to propose changes for a revision of Common Logic. (012)
We will need to define the scope of the revision by identifying all
issues which will be addressed by the revision. (013)
In preparation for this, this Ontolog session will be dedicated to
coming to agreement on the open issues for CL. (014)
Issues raised to this point:
1. Fixing the list of syntactic errors that have already been identified
2. Namespacing
3. Definitional extensions
4. Additional connectives
5. Numerical quantifiers
6. Clarification of conformance conditions (015)
These are not necessarily the issues that will be addressed by the CL
revision -- these are simply ones which have been raised in current
discussions. The purpose of the session will be to come to some
consensus on the issues which will define the scope of the CL
revision. (016)
