Most of the EC meeting has been dedicated to the discussion of the
International Outreach Subcommittee Plans. The EC finished the analysis of the
general goals and approved the document with some changes that will be
implemented soon. (010)
IAOA Summer school: the EC was updated on the decisions taken so far and how
the school is organized. As previously planned, the Education committee will
distribute in November a first announcement of the school. (011)
The EC has approved the participation of R. Mizoguchi as invited speaker,
representing IAOA, at the 6th Australasian Ontology Workshop. (012)

The EC asks the IAOA members and followers to help distribute copies of the
leaflet at conferences and other events. (013)
The EC has discussed the draft of the Bylaws on Committees and SIGs. The
discussion has brought up some issues that require the draft to be revised. It
is expected that an official version will be ready at next EC meeting.
The discussion of the rest of the Bylaws will start at next meeting as well. (014)
The EC has decided that the list of current IAOA members will be made available
to all IAOA members via a link in the password-protected "Members' Area" of our
website. For now, this listing will only include name, affiliation, country
(not the address), email and membership type. We are planning to clearly state
on the member application form that (except for private personal information of
detailed address, date of birth and place of birth) we will be sharing all
member information returned on the membership application form (including
responses to the survey) among the membership, and then share all that starting
from Jan-2011.
Members that have reasons to object to this decision should write to:
