I am a senior developer in the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) Geoinformatics Center, working on NSF GEO-funded programs including Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R), Integrated Earth Data Applications (IEDA), and the International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP). I serve as Technical Director of R2R, whose mission is to capture, catalog, and describe the underway/environmental sensor data from US oceanographic research vessels and accession the data to public long-term archives. I also collaborate on the NSF-funded EarthCube OceanLink project, developing a LOD approach for the discovery and integration of data from the global oceans, and the Ocean Data Interoperability Platform (ODIP), which seeks to increase data sharing across scientific domains and international boundaries.
