I am a Professor in Arabic language and literature. Besides teaching the language, I made research on historical, formal and computational linguistics. (2WID)
My main interest here are in (Arabic) formal and computational linguistics, adapting ontologies to culturally marked areas and to discuss about the interface between ontology and natural language categories. (2WIE)
Our research group is currently developing tools to (semi-)automatically extract semantic information from Classical Arabic texts and to build (partial) culturally-oriented ontologies (36E9)
