In this talk recent advances of semantic knowledge technologies are presented. Tangible results, both in the area of technology such as the Semantic Media Wiki and the area of ontology engineering methodologies such as cost estimation for ontologies, are highlighted. The results are put in a wider perspective to give an overview of currently ongoing projects in the EU. Of course, an answer to the question posed in the title will be given as well. (P61)

York Sure is an assistant professor at the Institute AIFB of the University of Karlsruhe in Germany and currently visiting researcher at Stanford University. His research interests mainly include semantic technologies and knowledge management. Recently York has been program chair of the European Semantic Web Conference (ESWC) in 2006.
