A little about me: I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Iona College, Associate Editor at the Darwin Manuscripts Project and Evolution: Education and Outreach. I am developing the conceptual framework for a method of ontological engineering, "Ontological Naturalism." I am using this method to create an ontology of evolutionary processes. I am a co-chair of the Lexicon committee at IAOA, a sub-committee of the Education committee. My various research interests end up advancing my central research project, which is to understand the history and philosophy of chance and its explanatory value in evolutionary biology.    (3QOU)

My favorite animals, both from a scientific point of view and because they are very cool and cute too, are the platypus and the California sea lion, Zalophus californianus.    (3QOW)
