Martin and Andrew,

We're using ESX v4 here to generate the OVA file and ESX should have an 'import OVA/OVF' option that you can use to bring the Appliance into your ESX instance so you don't need to run the ovftool conversion process.

We'll be releasing a new .4 version of the Appliance in the next several days which contains updated code and bugfixes. We're switching to deploying a tar archived OVF file, but the process should work very similarly once the new version is available.
