My intent in listing those specific tests was just to point out that we are
frequently tested, and the results are used in lots of different ways. Since
the point of the discussion is about a test that doesn't exist, it will be
easier to keep it non-US specific :-). (03)

The ones I am most familiar with are "academic achievement tests", involve a
mix of multiple choice and essay questions, and invigilated (if you mean
supervised by a testing authority). (05)
