All, (01)
The INCOSE Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) initiative has an ontology
thread. There's a possible synergy with the summit via the OMG SysML
standard. The MBSE is interested in understanding how SysML-related
ontologies might be useful in their aims. It's actually not clear to me
whether they need an ontology of SysML or a "standard" approach to generating
ontologies from SysML-based models. (02)
A reasonably-chosen subset of SysML might be a useful example of what a
next-generation standard ontology enables, what it doesn't and might provide
guidance for this ongoing activity which overlaps with the OMG SysEng group. (03)
Cheers,
David (04)
