I may not be able to attend the meeting. Here are some
notes/suggestions about the draft submission document distributed by
Till on the 25th.
- General - Throughout the document, starting with section
SCOPE- Replace "International Standard" with "OMG
Specification"
- General - The term "..allows for" or " ...allows for
expressing", used throughout Section 7.2 is non-standard
English I think it may be a mistranslation of genehmigen
or ermöglichen.
Here are some examples; unfortunately I didn't have time to do
more.
- 7.2.1 -
- Title - DOL enables _expression_ of OSMs and
links at different levels of detail
- Body - DOL is a mechanism for expressing logically
heterogeneous OSMs. It can be used to combine sentences
and structured OSMs expressed in different conforming OSM
languages
and logics into single documents or modules. With
DOL, sentences or structured OSMs of previously existing
OSMs in
conforming languages can be reused by literally
including them into a DOL OSM. A minimum of wrapping
constructs and other annotations (e.g. for identifying the
language of a sentence ) are provided.
- 7.2.2
- Title - DOL includes provisions for expressing links
between OSMs.
- Body (near end of paragraph; DOL allows for expressing
signature translations in such links, ) DOL
allows such links to express signature translations,
- (later in same paragraph: DOL also allows for
combining/merging OSMs) DOL can also be used to
combine or merge OSMs

Terry
